Believers are not gods in the sense of being self-existent or eternal. Therefore, they are not the same as or equal to God the Father, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit.

Born-again believers are gods in the sense of sharing the nature of their Father. Following the principle that every species produces after its kind—God begets gods if we are truly born of His Spirit/Word.

"One Spirit with the Lord" 1 Cor 6:17

Being one in spirit with the Lord doesn't equate to being Jesus himself. Believers, while being one in spirit with the Lord, still retain their individuality—just as Jesus was distinct from the Father while on earth, yet still one with the Father.
